Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote "home is the nicest word there is" and I must agree because I endured a long an nasty travel experience home from Istanbul and a few days later, relaxing at Mom's, I think that it was all worth it.
This has been the first morning of real relaxation. Saturday involved running around, Sunday was church, Monday the July 4th Doo-Dah parade, Tuesday was more running around (mailed out documents for my next E2 visa application), and yesterday I volunteered to help serve lunch at St. John's church.
I hope that I never have to fly Delta Again.
These guys clearly need to watch more SNSD

You probably don't remember me, but you used to read my Shenanigans Abroad blog while I was living in Korea, and we never got to meet... I was going over some old posts and saw a comment you'd left me, and saw that you're still living there! I hope you're enjoying it and having a great time!
That first year was tough and I don't blame you for leaving. I thought about it many times. Somehow, I managed to tough it out. Then I went to Thailand and home for 8 months of hard times. After that, the second year was easy. Now, I've earned a CELTA certificate and I'm teaching at Pagoda. It's another challenging place to work, but they have a great reputation with students and other language academies.
